Any mamas here have any advice about having their second child? I’m currently 30 weeks and 1 day and feeling the stress of having two. We don’t have a hospital bag packed, and don’t have the nursery done.
How can you love another the way you love your first? How can you get the house ready for a newborn when the toddler makes a mess of the house at the same time?
Crunch time and I’m feeling it.
This pregnancy has been hard on me. Third trimester exhaustion has hit, and I’m feeling depressed.

i can relate, my babies will be irish twins. i had my first in October, and this one will be here soon in september. i’m so stressed about everything, a schedule, stressing how i’ll take care of two mostly by myself since my partner works night shift and he’s bringing the income in. stressing about how i can give my attention to both babies , and not making my first baby feel left out at all even tho all my attention will need to go to baby #2

In a little bit of a different boat because my first was 11 when my second was born but I had some of the same fears but oh my goodness- my absolute favorite thing is seeing my two kiddos be together. My son is older so he sometimes “acts” like a caregiver but they are so sweet together. I’m nervous about adding a third but can’t wait to see all three together!

1. That third trimester fatigue has hit me HARD!! never had it before.
2. I'm pregnant with number 3 and I promise you you will love that baby just as much as your first. Some days will be harder as now there is another little human who needs you 🩷 the best advice I received when about to have my second was that If I have to choose between my toddler or the baby who needs me (The first time they both cried at the same time for me I was CRUSHED) always chose the toddler first. The toddler is older and will remember. the baby will okay to cry just a tad bit longer. Always include the toddler as much as you can and never blame what you can't do on the baby (We can't go outside because the baby needs a nap).
As far as preparing, the NB doesn't need much. we had ours in a pack n play in our room for 13m (we had my first for 15m) we have a nook so we have space for them but that also meant I didn't worry about a nursery for my second. Just had all her necessities in a cart near her bed.
as far as the hospital bag, this is your second, you should know you really don't need a lot. some sleepers, comfy clothes for you, toothbrush, phone charger and stuff for dad. I packed my bag the night before I went into labor 🤷🏻♀️
I know it's scary and unknown I cried so much the second time asking myself the same questions as you. And even know I kinda feel the same as we are having our first boy after two girls...but I promise YOU got this! Everything will be okay! Both those babies are lucky to have a mom who worries/stresses about this stuff.
