This Twisted Bonds captivated me from the first page. I was completely captivated and consumed by this story. She needed to know what would happen next, how things would unfold in the fairy kingdom, and who would ultimately win Abriella’s heart.

Okay, I will say that I’m not normally the biggest fan of love triangles, but I was hopelessly obsessed with this one. Just when I thought I had chosen a side, something happened that made me wonder if the person I had chosen was the right one, and let me tell you, I couldn’t have been more happier then i am now with the outcome.

The only problem I had with this book was that I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Everything seemed to end very quickly and after everything these characters had to endure I would have liked the conflict/combat to last a little longer. How to really make these characters happily ever after. Don’t get me wrong, I loved this story and the characters, the ending left me wanting more.

Overall I will say These Twisted Bonds was a fantastic read. This story consumed me completely and the wild horses could not force me to leave it. I loved the world this author created and all the characters we met along the way. I loved getting carried away by Finn, Abriella and Sebastian. The twists and turns kept me on my toes and I had a blast trying to figure out what was going to happen next.

These Twisted Bonds is a story about love, friendship and the ties that bind us together. It is a story of duty and loyalty. A story about difficult decisions and sacrifices. A story that will entangle you and leave you begging for more.

All I can say is: Wow. I think I can keep that spoiler clear because believe me when I say you don’t want to know anything about this book. You want to live every moment, every twist and turn as it happens and let yourself be carried away by it!

The book picks up right after the end of the first book and the emotions run high. Abriella really goes through the full gamut of emotions and mental processing, and seeing her deal with what happened as she tries to figure out who she is now and what matters most to her is an amazing character arc! She was a solid character at first, but seeing her cry, get angry, get bitter, deal with being a victim, deal with crippling loneliness and balance her past with her future and her kindness with her demons brings the absolute perfection.

I love her, I loved her journey, and I loved seeing such a strong character make such painful sacrifices to become unstoppable, using weaknesses and inner darkness to make himself stronger.

The love triangle continues with ALL the threads in this book, but it honestly works more as an integral part of Brie’s story and journey as a whole than a romantic device. We get a lot more depth from Finn in this book and see how Sebastian deals with the consequences of his actions and what comes after. Brie doesn’t let ANY of them get away, though, and the emotions they draw from all 3 characters, independently and together as they try to navigate this intricate dynamic, are impressive. The spice stays black but somehow gets even hotter in this book, leaning a bit more towards New Adult than YA in my opinion. So absolutely no complaints here!

True to the first book, this book will keep you guessing and guessing until the very end. There were some aspects that were very obvious and clear about where the story was going, but again, you can’t feel comfortable thinking you know anything about the story. Things that seem obvious quickly become complicated, things that seem disappointing quickly become explosive, and my God, if only the last 30% of this book hadn’t ripped my f****g heart out of my chest…

All in all, I can’t stop thinking about this book. This was a perfect and beautiful ending to an amazing duology and if I say it left me wanting more it’s only because I already love and miss this world so much. I can’t pick a star in the sky… he deserves them all!
