Which classes get Heavy Armor? ›

Cleric, Fighter, & Paladin classes all receive Heavy Armor Proficiency as a Class Feat at level 1.

To level up the Heavy Armor skill most efficiently, wear a full set of Heavy Armor (head, hands, feet, chest). The rate of skill gain is based on the total amount of damage incoming before armor is applied.

Spiked armor is a rare type of medium armor made by dwarves. It consists of a leather coat and leggings covered with spikes that are usually made of metal.

Of all the armor categories, heavy armor offers the best protection. These suits of armor cover the entire body and are designed to stop a wide range of attacks.

Multiclassing into fighter only gives light and medium armor proficiency (as well as shields and simple and martial weapons). You would have to also take the Heavily Armored feat to get heavy armor proficiency.

You'll have to take a feat for that. None of the races give it, and you don't get it from multiclassing. You could start out as a Fighter or something that have heavy armor and then take Bard later.

If you want any stealth skills, light is pretty obvious, mainly. But if you fully commit to heavy, alchemy, and crafting, you can get it weightless, noiseless, and invisible.

They level up at the same rate. It just depends on whether you block more attacks or let more attacks hit your armor. If you block the majority of attacks then train in heavy armor. If you let most attacks hit your armor then train in block.

Level IV armor is the highest rating of body armor currently available, and it will stop armor-piercing rifle threats. It can withstand up to 30-06 M2ap steel core armor-piercing rounds with a mass of 166 grains and a velocity of 2880 ft/s.

Is Level 4 armor heavy? ›

Level 4 plates weigh anywhere from only a few pounds each up to 9 pounds each, depending on the plate manufacturer's design and size. The less they weigh, the more you pay because lighter ballistic materials cost much more money.

Dragonscale Armor

Dragonscale is a light armor, which can make it better for a stealth-based player character or if they have a higher light armor skill. However, if weight is not an issue and all Heavy Armor abilities are unlocked, Dragonplate is a more beneficial choice.

A complete suit of plate armour made from well-tempered steel would weigh around 15–25 kg (33–55 lb). The wearer remained highly agile and could jump, run and otherwise move freely as the weight of the armour was spread evenly throughout the body.
