Lakers, 10:30 Tuesday's games PACERS 97, HORNETS 75: Rookie Danny Granger scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Indiana over New Orleans for the Pacers' sixth victory in seven games.

Anthony Johnson scored 19 points and Peja Stojakovic added 16 and nine rebounds for the Pacers. Rookie guard Chris Paul led the Hornets with 27 points and six assists. He shot 8-for-15 from the field, but the rest of the team were only 17-for-59 (34 percent). Desmond Mason was the only other Hornets player in double figures with 12 points. The Pacers outrebounded the Hornets 49-39 in their third victory by more than 20 points this month and their fifth win by 11 points or more in their last seven games.

David West, New Orleans' leading scorer, missed the game to be with his wife and newborn child. Indiana shot 50 percent in the first half to take a 50-43 lead at the break. Paul kept the Hornets in the game with 17 points. Indiana opened the third quarter with a 7-0 run that forced New Orleans to call timeout. The Hornets could not recover as the Pacers held them to 6-for-22 shooting in the period to put the game away.

Indiana led 76-60 after the third and maintained its lead in the fourth. CAVALIERS 105, MAGIC 92: LeBron James rebounded from a poor-shooting first half and finished with 26 points to 16ad Cleveland Cavaliers over Orlando. James made six consecutive shots late until missing a meaningless attempt in the final seconds of Cleveland's third straight win. Dwight Howard had 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Magic, who lost their seventh straight and 11th of 12. Orlando plays six of its next eight games on the road.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 24 points and 13 rebounds and Sasha Pavlovic a career-high 21 points for Cleveland. Two days after becoming the youngest All-Star game MVP in history, James made only four of his first 17 shots. Still, he still brought the sellout crowd of 20,562 to its feet with several dazzling behind-the-back passes and one 45-foot shot that went in but didn't count. WIZARDS 90, TIMBERWOLVES 78: Gilbert Arenas scored 34 points, and Caron Butler had 19 points and 12 rebounds in the Wizards' eighth straight home victory. Antawn Jamison had 10 points and eight rebounds to help the Wizards snap a two-game losing streak and improve to 14-6 in their last 20 games.

Ricky Davis led Minnesota with 25 points, and Kevin Garnett had 15 points and 11 rebounds, but scored only two points in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves have lost eight of their last 10 games. PISTONS 97, HAWKS 87: Richard Hamilton scored 24- points and Chauncey Billups had 19 points and 15 assists to lead Detroit to its second straight win.
